THANK YOU RUDY
The next time you are tempted to laugh at the idea that a large bloc of urban Americans are committed to destroying rural America as we know it, remember Rudy Giuliani and the 2008 Republican Primary Process.
Political advisors and seers have convinced the former Mayor of New York City that he can skip the Republican Primary contests in Iowa, New Hampshire, Wyoming, Nevada, and South Carolina and still win the Republican nomination. He ONLY has to win the Primary contests in Florida and New York and California and “the rest will be history”. Now boys and girls, what do those first five states have in common? If you wrote down they are RURAL states with small towns and low populations, you are correct. Now what do those last three states have in common? Right, they are URBAN states with large cities and large populations.
Consider the political realities of what is going on here and forgive my bluntness and any political overtones.
The Democrats running for President are all the favorites of the environmental extremists, the animal rights radicals, and socialists of other stripes that want more control by the federal government on every possible aspect of our lives. I do not say this to influence your vote but only to place in context what follows.
Were any of the three Democrats to get elected as President, the likes of Wayne Pacelle of HSUS and Ingrid Newkirk of PETA would look for themselves or their minions to get appointments like Secretary of Interior or Agriculture or some Assistant Secretary appointment or some Agency Director appointment. The result will be the fast-tracking of every environmental and animal rights nightmare in some drawer at PETA Headquarters or on Capitol Hill in the office drawers of the likes of George Miller of California or Jim Moran of Virginia. While this may sound extreme, after watching the theft of millions from state hunting and fishing programs that was never replaced and the illegal and clandestine introduction of wolves based on lies by such appointees under the Clinton Administration: I assure you that I know whereof I speak.
If that sounds like an endorsement of any federal Republican politician or appointee today, you are mistaken.
The current Administration and Republicans in Congress has failed in many ways. A few examples will suffice. They have let Wilderness Designations proceed. They were tepid in their defense of an appointee that tried to slow the Endangered Species Listings as was her responsibility and they were equally absent in backing the teensy Endangered Species Act reforms proposed by the House Resources Committee Chairman who was later savaged by the radicals. They have continued to recognize as legitimate the delays and suits of radical groups that work with the bureaucrats ostensibly under the management of the appointees. They are proliferating the designation of Marine Sanctuaries that, like Wilderness and Roadless Areas, only further non-management and use and therefore the value of natural resources and public property. They have betrayed gun owners at the last moment recently as they rolled over to the Washington DC claims that we have no right to any firearm unless some government chooses to let us (which they never do). In short the Republican politicians and their appointees have become Democrat-Light in almost every way. But to what end? The bureaucrats and the radicals and certain minority blocs still wouldn’t support them in a one-person race.
So Rudy and his advisors believe that the RURAL states don’t matter. Rudy and his advisors believe that ALL they have to do is give the Miamis and New York Cities and San Franciscos and Los Angeles’s what they want and the Republican nomination is assured, Voila!
So who do you think a former Mayor of New York who becomes President by catering to Chicago and Boston and Northern New Jersey AND OPENLY IGNORING Rural America will choose as appointees? What will he and they do about wolves attacking a child in Wyoming? What will they tell Iowans and their neighbors about federal water schemes and “Navigable Water” lawsuits that take away private property rights and values? What will their lawyers do about Road Closures on public lands all over Nevada? What will they have the Forest Service do about any remaining forest management or fire prevention or grazing on public lands? What will they do about Listing more and more Endangered Species from Polar Bears to mouse populations and some “native” plant Variety no one ever heard of? What will they tell the National Park Service and US Fish and Wildlife Service they should do about non-government employees carrying guns legally under state laws on Parks and Refuges IN THOSE STATES? What will they do when the Sierra Club and Defenders of Wildlife sue to close all federal lands in New Hampshire (which one is that, the one on the right or left on the map, I always confuse it with Vermont) to hunting and trapping and fishing for all but certain federally-designated species? What will they do about continuing federal agencies taking over control of state fish and wildlife agencies or highway departments or education departments?
This is not a hit piece on Rudy. If you think McCain (ask the desert bighorn sheep hunters about him) would be any better in these regards, I believe you are mistaken. I am told that Romney has said some encouraging things though I can’t document that. There is good reason that the backers of these three refer to them as “Metro Republicans”. Huckabee seems to be a hunter but so were some of the Clinton and Carter appointees that did great damage to hunting and fishing while hiding their actions from public view. Huckabee will grow the federal government and like all the rest (except the bottom tier guys like Thompson and Paul) shows little stomach for supporting the reforms and changes needed.
Anyway, my purpose was to point out the arrogant yet realistic assessment of the Giuliani campaign that Urban America and its agenda for Rural America is where the political power lies. Their decision to ignore Rural America and cater to the Urban agenda says volumes about the real threat poised over the head of rural Americans like the Sword of Damocles. The Constitution was designed specifically to avoid this situation (majorities raiding the Treasury and forcing minorities like rural Americans to acquiesce in any demands made of them for whatever reason) and our reluctance to see it coming or stand up to it is costing us all more each day. The only consolation is that the urban folks perpetrating these outrages (like dog owners that support laws to stop horse owners from slaughtering their horses or the duck hunters that feel no stake in the decimation of big game herds by federal wolves, etc.) are really naïve if the think this federal juggernaut they believe they control won’t soon enough turn on them, and when it does no one else “will be there” or left to help them.

Rudy will Lose Florida, he's behind in his own state of New York and he's about to be history. As for the organizations you quote, do you really want us to believe PETA would get an appointment? Everyone knows that hogwash? And I believe the reintroduction of wolves was both prudent and very successful. What are you some kind of great hunter that feels you can blow the hell out of anything. Your post lacks any relevance and I fail to grasp what point you're trying to make. So is it rural verses urban for some thought up arcane reason? They want to lower the hunting age to 10 in our State...yeah right, I can just see a 10 year old with a gun. The logic is the continued decline in our "hunting" State. They're shooting doves here...next it'll be sparrows?
The Republicans have been wannabe Dems since the very early '70's. "Anything for the vote!" But over the past year+, I've become convinced that it's even more sinister than that (none dare call it conspiracy). I mean, think of it: WHY in tarnation would the Pachyderms have chosen Shrub over Keyes in 2000? Not only bec. Keyes (unlike Shrub) is intelligent, articulate, educated and has integrity, but from a RealPolitik standpt., the Republicans could've once again made history (as they did with Lincoln) in introducing the first Black president. The only way to explain Shrub's insertion into the whole election business is charades/appeasement: "For the sake of appearances (for the masses), we'll continue to fob off an election, when in fact, heheh, if voters choose the Dems, Leviathan's strangulations will be rammed down their throats, and if they opt for the GOP [I'm wondering what's grand about it], the strangulations will simply come about slightly slower." Actually sending someone like Keyes into the election would've provided a GENUINE choice, which is precisely what "they" don't want.
It all makes me have to constantly apply icepax to my neck.
Oh, and as for destroying rural America, that works neatly into the globalists' aims as well: make it impossible for folks to live independently on the land, forcing them to become part of the infrastructure-----the better to control you with, my dear (cut off your water, your food, etc. to force you to comply with Big Brother).
